Start with the right measurements
Dancewear sizing varies between brands and styles. Use the size chart on each product page rather than relying on age or your usual clothing size.
How to measure
Use a flexible tape over close-fitting clothing. Stand naturally and keep the tape comfortably against the body.
- Chest or bust: measure around the fullest part, keeping the tape level.
- Waist: measure around your natural waist.
- Hips: measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat.
- Torso or girth: where the size chart asks for it, measure a complete loop from one shoulder, down the front, through the legs and back to the same shoulder.
- Height: measure without shoes.
Between sizes?
Check the advice on the product page for that style. Stretch, lining and costume construction affect fit, so there is no universal size-up or size-down rule. If you are unsure, email us before ordering.
Dance shoes
Use the size chart on the shoe's product page. Dance-shoe sizes are not always the same as everyday shoe sizes. Check the style and fit requirements with your teacher.
Group costumes
Measure each dancer separately and use the same product chart for the whole group. Keep your size list up to date before ordering.
